Pinot Noir 2022
REGION: Adelaide Hills, South Australia
ALC: 13.2%
THE WINE: The Hills 2022 vintage was welcomed for the long, cool ripening that Pinot cherishes. The growing season was the coldest in the past decade with the perfect conditions maximising flavour intensity and prized complexity. Sequent Pinot Noir is pretty and perfumed, with elaborate aromas and layered flavours of lifted juicy strawberries and red berries rounded with beautifully balanced tannins and elegant acidity. The herbed, lightly Autumn-spiced finish with a touch of earthiness complements real freshness with refined texture - silky tannins, plush length and finesse.
FOOD: Pinot and food; a match made in heaven. Tradition dictates the holy grail pairing – duck. Simply roasted with pan juices or smoky sweet from the BBQ. Something different? Grilled teriyaki salmon or a hunk of oozy Camembert work brilliantly.
